Obsessive poet

In a cave of darkness
beneath the covers of your mind
idioms, sentences, metaphors
explode from each mental wire
like grenades
which threaten to fracture the skull
and blow the mind
into a whirly wind of rhythmic tones.
By the seconds
letters will pop like bubbles
in rivers of charcoal
swirling beautifully
from a trembling, enthused finger.
The ammunition of words
fired from a loaded brain
making ink splatters everywhere.
